Wiring this smart switch was easy considering I am not an electrician. The only way I found to get them working again was to do a hard reset by turning on and off the breaker in which it does not make any sense. Keeping my fingers crossed. Often disconnects randomly and then comes back on its own. It works well enough for a short time. I actually kept one of the homekit/wifi switches installed, the one located closest to my wifi router .. it has never gone offline. You can't even add a smart button for Leviton's plug-in dimmers and switches, which is too bad since those devices don't include a physical on-off switch or remote control. The hub is why it’s reliable. Installation should be performed by a professional electrician, not all structures are wired the same; therefore, results may be different than described below. Set up was done and MYLeviton app downloaded and it started to work. I’m having the exact same issue. you can pull out the dimmer rocker on the side of the switch, that will disconnect power to the switch then just push it back in to get power back to the switch.. it's easier than going to your breaker box to shut it off.. the instructions refer to this feature as "air gap", I had 4 of these installed in my home and some would occasionally go unresponsive here and there.. Yes you need lutrons hub. Does anyone know of a fix? This is a new build of a house and I figure all the wiring must be correct, but I'm not sure what can be going on. Does anyone have a clear way of getting the Leviton switches in the unresponsive state? I am using the Classic App, which may or may not make a difference. With power to the box turned off, unscrew and remove the wall plate and existing switch. It started working correctly and has been for 6 hours now. I just installed a decora smart dimmer to control 4 lights in an atrium. An update for any interested. When I installed Leviton’s 4-Button Controller, I replaced that Z-Wave switch with a Decora Smart Wi-Fi switch and assigned one of the controller’s buttons to toggle that light on and off. I’m wondering if they are somehow interfering with the switches as video baby monitors can operate on 2.4 GHz which is the same as these WiFi switches. Their firmware seems to get stuck after joining WiFi but before obtaining an IP address. Thanks everyone for the info. Thank You just checked and they are back online. I guess it isn't a unique issue. Other than the addition of the dimmer rocker on the side and the green LED below the switch (which can be set completely off, to be on when the switch is off, or to be on when the switch is on using the Decora Smart Home App) these look essentially identical. The fix seems to be working.
